The Landmap website will be moving to new hardware. This is part of a major hardware upgrade programme in Mimas. Most users should not notice the change, however logins to Landmap using UK Federated Access (Shibboleth) may be unavailable for up to a 24 hour period.

 About Landmap

The Landmap Service provides web-based Access to a range of spatial data for research, learning and teaching.

The service also Supports the spatial science community with a range of Learning Materials and a dedicated Helpdesk .

Available Spatial Data

  1. Optical Collection - Landsat, SPOT, Aerial Photography and TopSat.
  2. Radar Collection - ENVISAT and ERS.
  3. Elevation Collection - SRTM and 25m DEM.

The Landmap Service requires that institutions obtain a Licence prior to accessing the data archive and learning materials. Individuals will be asked to register the first time they enter a protected area of the site.
